Leveraging the award-winning RED DRAGON sensor, WEAPON 6K is engineered from the ground up to deliver cutting-edge performance in the most intuitive camera experience possible. WEAPON 6K boasts an arsenal of features that include blazing fast data transfer rates up to 300 MB/s, and the freedom to simultaneously record in REDCODE RAW and Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR/HD file formats. WEAPON 6K owners also have the opportunity to upgrade to an 8K sensor.
The powerful simplicity of WEAPON 6K allows for easily customizable rigs complete with streamlined peripheral integration. Built–in stereo microphones offer convenient scratch audio capture, while integrated Start/Stop button functionality on accessories and new intelligent OLPFs with integrated circuitry communicate the necessary colorimetry information to the BRAIN.
Interchangeable I/O expanders enable you to configure your rig to fit every production type. Whether using your camera in a gimbal, run-and-gun, or studio environment—WEAPON 6K has an ideal solution for your needs.
WEAPON 6K uses a 19 megapixel sensor capturing 6K 2.4:1 at up to 100 fps and 6K Full Format at 75 fps. WEAPON’s enhanced design features a number of enhancements: including automatic black shade calibrations, improved low light sensor performance, and an intelligent OLPF system. WEAPON cameras are also equipped to support 1D and 3D LUTs—giving colorists and post production teams more control than ever before.
